How much time do we spend staring at our phone screens in a day? Whether it’s browsing social media, shopping online, taking photos, or simply watching videos on YouTube. Modern humans are inseparable from their need for the internet, and they position their online lives as equal or as important as their real-world counterparts. We are constantly learning how the virtual world works, memorizing colors, layouts, typography, and understanding the functions and navigation of each application. We are always positioned as users, not as decision-makers. This work is my way of remembering and archiving how life in the virtual world is and how we can still leave a mark in this rapidly changing world.

Images Already in Your Head
Sexuality and pornography are considered taboo and difficult to discuss, especially in Indonesia, where society still holds fast to traditions and beliefs. In the internet age, pornographic content is rampant and expanding unstoppably. Sexuality, once private, is being exploited to the fullest for financial gain. In 2025, I obtained old pornographic photographs from a secondhand goods dealer. I responded to these photos by censoring the visible body parts, leaving only the silhouettes of the bodies and the background visible. I believe that everyone who sees this work also has their own image in their mind, the activities and gestures depicted in it. Some also believe that something censored has a stronger image than an image presented as is. This work can be a starting point for discussing something we consider taboo, but which is actually present in our daily lives.
