In all the works displayed, there are similarities with the existence of plastic tarpaulin which is positioned as a background, wrapper, footing or level. The use of this plastic tarpaulin material is motivated by the awareness of giving local elements to the work, in order to create a work that has an identity where this work was born. Plastic tarpaulin can also represent the lower middle class with the temporary and cheap nature of the material. This blue and orange plastic tarpaulin is very familiar to our eyes who live in Indonesia, on the streets, lined with street stalls, illegal residential buildings. This material is also expected to be a connector and theme or problem that I try to realize in my art photography work. I chose to use Staged Photography as a method of creating this work and chose several gallery spaces in Yogyakarta as the place to take the pictures. The process of making and presenting in this series of photos is the same as the process of making and presenting sculptures in a gallery. Figurative elements are presented in a neutral space, helping the audience to find gestures, connections and symbolic forms more cleanly.
