At the dinner table we meet, at the dinner table we exchange ideas and get to know each other. Every society has its own traditions and ways of preparing, serving and eating food. In the context of my family, which has a Chinese Indonesian background, eating together has an important position in daily life. At certain times we have a habit of eating together, we will gather at the dining table and eat food while chatting about our daily activities. Indirectly, conversations while eating become a common thread for us to listen to each other and get closer to other family members. Likewise, food recipes are passed down from parents to children, perhaps this process and tradition will be continued or passed down. The family becomes bigger, a child builds his own small family, only the two parents stay at the dinner table, keeping memories, and hoping that the children and grandchildren will gather again for the upcoming holidays.
