If the analogy of a gallery is a house, the artwork is the windows and doors, while the artist can be positioned as the host, and when we are in front of the “house”, maybe we will see other buildings or houses on the side and next to the fence. The houses of neighbors who are physically close, but distant in our daily lives. In this series, I invite and ask several neighbors of the Semarang gallery to take pictures together and individually in the gallery area. Three days after the photo shoot, I gave the photos to them, helped them put them up in their homes, then took pictures again where the photos were placed. Of course, some of these people had different responses. New questions arose after this project was completed and I didn’t have the answers to those questions, but at least I tried to break the ice that had been there all this time.
